Devonport, New Zealand Today, we woke to a rainbow out our window. After breakfast, we caught a ferry to Devonport Island. It is a delightful place with Victorian Gingerbread homes and interesting shops and restaurants. We wandered on our own for a while then took a one hour tour that took us to the top of the volcano for some wonderful views of Auckland and the town of Devonport. It is rich with history from World War 2 and other local conflicts. Following the tour, we did some more shopping then took the ferry back to Auckland. I will go away from Auckland wishing I had time to see more. The good news is that tomorrow is another stop in New Zealand, so we will get to see more.
